2023 Ford Maverick

For 2023, Ford offers three trims for the Maverick: XL, XLT, and Lariat. The base XL has a blacked-out look with a black surround, mesh grille, door handles, and mirror caps. You will also find 17-inch steel wheels, a cargo lamp, six bed tie-downs, LED headlights, the Flexbed system, incandescent taillights, and two 12-volt electrical leads. The XLT rolls down the road on 17-inch aluminum wheels with cubby storage in the bed, 10 bed tie-downs, a gray grille bar, and wiper-activated headlights. The premium Lariat sits atop 18-inch aluminum wheels and adds two cubby storage compartments in the truck bed, a power-sliding rear window, and body-colored mirror caps and door handles. Eye-catching exterior colors include Cactus Gray, Atlas Blue Metallic, and Area 51.

The 2023 Ford Maverick offers two engines, depending on the trim you choose. First up is a four-cylinder 2.5-liter hybrid engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission that generates 191 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. This hybrid is fuel-efficient, with an EPA-estimated rating of 37 mpg combined. The second engine is an EcoBoost 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that churns out 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque.

Even though it features a smaller footprint, the 2023 Ford Maverick still brings you everything you want in a truck. Front-wheel drive is the standard offering, with an all-wheel-drive system available to tackle tough terrain and inclement conditions. If you go with the EcoBoost engine and add the 4K Tow Package, you get a maximum towing capacity of 4,000 pounds. Finally, the Maverick adds variable assist-power steering, electronic power-assist steering, unibody construction, and four-wheel anti-lock brakes.

Ford has designed the interior of the 2023 Maverick for form and function. Beginning with the XL and XLT, interior features include an in-cabin air filtration system, two 12-volt power outlets, manual single-zone air conditioning, two USB ports, power locks and windows, and a manual six-way adjustable driver's seat. You also get an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker sound system. Upgrading to the top-of-the-line Lariat adds ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, two rear USB ports, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Ford Co-Pilot360 is included as standard with every 2023 Ford Maverick. It adds safety features such as pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera, and automatic on/off headlights with auto high beams. In addition, you can opt for safety features such as a lane departure warning with lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
