All About the 2022 Ford F-150

Trim Levels 

The 2022 Ford F-150 comes in eight trim levels, so you can find the one that works best for you. The new F-150 trim levels include the XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Raptor. Each F-150 model includes their own features. The Raptor comes with massive 37-inch BFGoodrich All Terrian T/A KO2 tires while the Limited trim includes 18 speakers, including in the headrest.  

Towing & Performance 

Since there are a variety of trims, there’s an all-new Ford F-150 that will fit everyone’s needs. The highest towing capability comes from the twin-turbo V-6 engine that can tow up to 14,000 pounds. The maximum payload capacity is 3,325 pounds. Since there are five different powertrain options, the 2022 Ford F-150 comes with numerous engines. The base engine is 3.3-liter V-6 rated at 290 horsepower, followed by the 2.7-liter turbocharged V-6 engine, and the mid-level engine 3.5-liter turbocharged V-6. This new truck also offers a 5.0-liter V-8 engine and the final hybrid powertrain option, the 3.6-liter V-6 engine paired with an electric motor and a battery pack. 

Safety Features 

The Ford F-150 checks all the boxes for safety while each trim level includes Ford Co-Pilot360, which bundles a rearview camera, forward-collision mitigation, and lane-departure warning. If you’re considering the three upper trims, they include blind-spot monitoring, rear automatic braking, and lane-keeping assist.
